Instructor: Mrs. Darla Brocksmith
The course is designed to
teach the student computer skills and page design skills, so that they
can
create web pages for the Internet.
Several different types of software will be used, such as HTML
(HyperText Markup Language), NVU (free web editing software), a little Adobe
DreamWeaver
and some JavaScript. Effective use of
the Internet will be explored. Students
will complete hands-on applications.
Web Page Design II
Second-year students cover
some JAVA scripting, Adobe CS3
(including DreamWeaver,
Flash, Fireworks, and Freehand), and will explore Webmaster
certification. Students will also have a part in keeping the
school district web site up-to-date and improving the web site.
The second-year students will also be assigned
a project where they will need to create or update a web site for a
business or
community organization.
