Yea!!! Linux


Linux is a very good free Operating System. Red hat created a server version of the software package. Here we play with it and get to learn how to set up a server using Linux.

V. INTRODUCTION:


This week begins a month long journey into the world of Linus Torvald.

NOTE: Server book to be returned at this time and Linux book distributed.



VI. CONTENT :


Linuz Turvald upset the world of Bill Gates when he design, built and distributed a competing Operating System to Windows. Best of all, he did it for free so anyone can enjoy the benefits of his baby that he called Linux (a combination of his name - Linus and Unix on which it is based).

This week will introduce the history and the various distributions.
