II. OBJECTIVES:


We work around electricity everyday in this profession. We have to not only be exposed to the rudimentary subject or power but we must know it very well. It can not be emphasized enough to be safe out there.

V. INTRODUCTION:


This week is the introduction of networking devices as well as a brief introduction to cabling types and connectors (and how they connect to which devices). More about cabling will be done during later weeks. Also introduced in a little more depth is IP addressing



VI. CONTENT:


Networking Devices are introduced by lecture. Bridge, Switches, Brouters, Routers, NIC's, Cabling.

Hands on cable building is introduced.

Networking math and IP Addressing are continued.

Introduction to basic electronics is presented.




VII. SUMMARY:


Network Math, IP Addressing, and introduction to basic electronics as used in the computer world.
