The objective of this week lessons re to begin the initial exposure to networks. We begin with the justifications, requirements, and demands of why networking developed in the first place.

Also included is a brief history of networking.

VI. CONTENT :


As a way of Introduction to my students, I give a lecture tracing my job history through the development of the computer technology.

In order to better understand networking, the students must be familiar with the internal components of a computer. Part of the networking technicians job includes adding component cards to the computer and then configuring the computer for networking. Many times this entails troubleshooting a marginal and or malfunctioning computer.
