Dear Parent or Guardian:
My name is Mary Griffin. I am the Vocational Resource
Educator/Vocational Evaluator at the Hannibal Career and Technical Center. This is my
21st year in education. All my teaching experience has been in
the Hannibal School District. During this time, I have worked as a Special
Education Teacher, coordinated the district's testing team, and worked as both an
Elementary and Secondary Counselor. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
K-12, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in
Counseling K-12, and certification as a School Psychological Examiner.
I look forward to working with your student. Please feel
free to contact me if you have any concerns about your student’s
career and technical education.
Resource Assistance for Students
The VRE provides resource assistance for students with special needs
who are enrolled in a Career and Technical Education program at the
Hannibal Career and Technical Center.
Implement accommodations
Read tests
Provide extra assistance with classroom assignments
Monitor students' grades
Liaison
The VRE also acts as a liaison between the faculty and staff from our
sending schools and the faculty and staff at the HCTC.
Provide grades to sending school faculty
Attend IEP meetings
